Biomass Energy
Biomass or biofuels commonly consist of sugarcane, switch grass, corn, hemp and other crop sources. In Romania, biomass production can be combined with the cultivation of large surfaces of agricultural lands or forests, making an investment in this sector highly attractive.
Once the Romanian government and parliament approved the new ordinance to subsidies the sale of renewable energy per MWh, the Biomass industry benefits in two ways:
a) 2 new green certificates per MWh will be given to the producer
b) The electricity created by biomass biofuels produced will be sold.
